Peace Project
Providing prenatal and postpartum care to refugee women—in their language and with respect for their culture.
Access isn’t easy
For New Americans—especially new mothers—finding affordable, accessible healthcare can be difficult. Complex systems, language barriers, and transportation to the doctor’s office often keep mothers from the care they and their children need.
Peace for refugee mothers
At Peace, we believe every mother deserves dignity, care, and support—no matter where she comes from. Our low-cost care serves refugee mothers with compassion and respect. Through the Embrace Refugee Birth program at Friends of Refugees, and in partnership with Ethnē Health, we provide expectant mothers with wrap-around prenatal care in their own language and we honor their culture—helping each woman walk her journey into motherhood with strength, confidence, and hope.
